Park City Bars & More

The ingredients for the Best. Ski Holiday. Ever. include more than lotsa lotsa snow – although it’s certainly a great place to start.

With après ski, you’ll want a dash of culture and amenities a-go-go, all within easy reach of both the slopes and your accommodation. Ladies and gents, Utah’s Park City awaits.

Park City is home to not one, not two, but three world-class ski resorts, and was recently named Outside Magazine’s ‘Best Active Town’. It’s also where the US ski team call home – so you know you’re in good company.

The one-time mining town has been transformed into a prime destination for avid skiers and night owls alike. Pick up your chairlift from downtown, which is connected by a skiers’ bridge to historic Main Street with its restaurants, galleries and fancy-schmancy boutiques.

Are you a sophisticated sort? Then you’ll be tickled by the classy Park City bars on every other corner. Plus, plan your trip for early in the New Year and you could find yourself rubbing shoulders with movie stars in town for the Sundance Film Festival.

Some folks who haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Utah mistakenly believe it’s still a dry state. In the words of Utah.com, “The only things ‘dry’ around here are the snowflakes and the martinis.” In fact, it’s home to over 100 restaurants and every sort of boozery you could imagine, including pubs and clubs. So grab yourself a cheeky tipple and dance the evening away, or take in one of the live bands that play near nightly.

While your lodging concierge can no doubt offer tips on the top Park City bars to live it up Utah-style, Destination Utah wants to give you the benefit of our hard-earned research… *Hic*

Legends Bar in Park City Mountain Resort’s Legacy Lodge

Perfect for après ski, after a hard day on the slopes fill your belly with Legend Bar & Grill’s delicious grilled chicken nachos and warm spinach and artichoke dip. And while you’re at it you may as well wash it down with a refreshing beverage – rude not to.

If you’re after a long lunch or relaxed dinner, Legends offers a full service menu. We recommend the 8oz Kobe beef Legends burger, or the Ahi tuna salad for something lighter.

St.Regis Bar

Sure, the drinks aren’t cheap, but lordy they’re delicious and you definitely can’t go past the St Regis’ signature Bloody Mary- The 7452 Mary. What’s more, the staff are friendly and gracious, and won’t blink an eyelid to your dayglow snow tan and whatever crushed and slightly mildewy outfit you’ve hastily pulled from your suitcase.

Oh, and then there’s the views from the terrace – ahhh, Utah at its finest. Plus, if you’re very lucky you’ll catch the nightly champagne sabering – funsies.

No Name Saloon & Grill

The tagline “Helping people forget their names since 1903” will give you a pretty accurate picture of the kind of night in store for you when you head to No Name Saloon & Grill. Take a load off in front of the fire, play a little shuffleboard, or watch a sporting event on the 55” flat screen.

No Name’s famous buffalo burgers are de-licious, particularly when washed down by beer, beer and more beer. Open until 2am.

Park City Live

If you’re a club bunny, head to Park City Live on – you guessed it – Main Street. It gets in some great DJs – although you will pay a premium for the pleasure.

O’Shucks Bar & Grill

If you’re looking for somewhere low-key, O’Shucks dive bar – that’s US talk for crappy décor – is mostly frequented by locals with a thirst for reasonably-priced beer.

The staff are relaxed, and the food menu limited but adequate. Stay long enough and chances are you’ll get dragged into random chatter with your bar stool buddy who’s had three too many.

427 Main St, Park City, UT 84060, (435) 645-3999

High West Distillery & Saloon

Settle in at High West Distillery & Saloon and order yourselves some small plates to share. While sometimes they take the ‘small’ a little too literally, there’s no question the food’s consistently delicious.

The cocktails are amazing, while the joint has a lovely old west feel without being kitschy.

The bartenders and servers are happy to share their knowledge both about the drinks-making process and getting the most out of the surrounding slopes.
